What typhoon Uwan brought to our country?
Typhoon Fung-wong, known in the Philippines as Super Typhoon Uwan, was a very large, powerful, deadly, and destructive tropical cyclone that struck the Philippines, Taiwan, and the Ryukyu Islands of Japan in mid-November 2025. The twenty-sixth named storm and thirteenth typhoon of the annual typhoon season, Fung-wong originated from a broad low-pressure area northeast of Chuuk on November 3. It gradually organized over the following days before undergoing rapid intensification on November 8 under increasingly favorable atmospheric conditions.

It's been a while @asean.hive family and friends. How many days before December starts but nature is still testing our strength. Not to mention typhoon Tino put the Cebu Philippines into a state of calamity.
But what makes me sad is the force evacuation we needed to do. Before Uwan makes its landfall to Bulacan, Ria was already not feeling well. She cried and told me her head was aching at school. I told her to come down and said that it will go away. At night, unexpectedly she had a slight fever, and the fever went high. I was finding the reason where the flu came from. I guess at school, she's not drinking any vitamins or ascorbic acid to strengthen her immune system.
I gave strepsils lozenges to make her feel better and it did. What we need to do now is to strengthen our roof. My husband is heavy so he asked our son to climb to our wrecked roof and they tied it. He also said that we needed to leave the house but I wasn't answering even though our things are already packed! That night I told my kids to sleep early because Uwan will land at any moment.
The news said that we will experience storm signal number three. I don't know if our roof can endure that strength. That's also the reason why I didn't want to leave the house yet. I may want to see what will happen next!
At around 23:00 the air started to show its strength. The impact was very memorable. Uwan's landfall is accompanied by high tide. The water quickly rises! We hurriedly brought our things in a higher place. But then after we couldn't leave the house! The waves were too strong to endure. We needed to wait but we didn't have space to sleep. All that was left was the upper part of our double deck. Only two people can fit. So my son slept on his hammock hangings, even though the air was strong and the rain was getting him wet. While @katsuki29 just sits on the table and bows his head in his knees. I gave him dry clothes but he didn't change.
I was already tired of taking pictures of our house, our situation. The experience I know it will make us stronger but it doesn't mean that we can always can. Emotionally, mentally it's frustrating specially for my kids.
I didn't want to remember all of this! But it was very very hard. A part of our boat was also wrecked! My husband got mad and I was annoyed like I didn't do anything for our family! Ria's fever got worse and even her siblings got a flu. But what's important now is we surpass the storm and our roof wasn't removed. The flood will surely make us stay here for weeks.
Stay healthy and always safe

Hope your all doing fine Sis. the typhoons make Philippines a poorer country learning to live off grid would made it easier
Our Country was already experienced lots of typhoons, earthquakes and other Natural calamities. It is quite sad and worried for us here but the only thing we did is to pray always. Those affected places are pitiful and my Prayers are always for them.
