Hello ASEAN Buddies...
My country doesn't have winter, only the rainy season. Even though the end of the year should be the rainy season in my country, rain doesn't fall on the earth every day. There are times when the sun shines very hot even in the middle of the rainy season. That's what happened today. The weather is very hot and I need something cold. In my search, I found the ideal place at Nhila Café.
Nhila Café is not a big café, it is a small café, only as big as a shophouse in general, which is 4x10 meters to 6x12 meters. If the weekend comes I am sure this café will be full. However, currently the café is quiet because it is not lunch time. So I am one of the customers. Interestingly, this small café has several seats that can only be occupied by one person. There are only a few seats for groups or couples. Uniquely, in the corner of the café there is a bookshelf.
Milk Tea
In the end, I ordered a glass of iced tea milk. Nhila Café's signature coffee milk is "Baliklagi," which means "back again" in English. I don't know why it wasn't called Nhila Tea. But oh well, I forgot to ask about the difference.
This milk tea has a sweet, mild flavor. However, unlike packaged milk tea, this milk tea has a distinct sweetness. Of course, the sweetness doesn't come from sugar, but from the milk used by Nhila Tea.
Teriyaki Karage Rice
Furthermore, even though it wasn't lunchtime, I was craving a substantial meal. So I ordered the Teriyaki Karage Rice. As you can see, the teriyaki karage was quite large, unlike most teriyaki. Furthermore, while teriyaki is usually associated with a sweet and salty flavor, this one was just a touch sweet.
This is a teriyaki dish complete with egg and green beans. It's a truly delicious combination. I'm feeling very full today with this dish from Nhila Café.

Ohoo, looks like a cool cafe to me. Simple but has that coziness in it. The foods looks good too. Some cafe serves drinks and pastries only no, its amazing they also serve meals like that.
That's awesome to see in that tiny store but looking at their food, it makes me drool.. Where is this located? want to try to this place.. !wine
Wow, Nhila café sounds cozy! Iced milk tea and teriyaki karage rice, is a perfect way to beat the heat.
