What is the most challenging problem and trials you’ve ever faced? Have you tried almost giving up on your goal?
About Me
Hi! I’m Krizza Joy. I live in the beautiful province of Valencia, Negros Oriental. A teacher and a loving mother of two kids. I am the eldest and was raised by my mother together with my stepsister.
My wonderwomam; My mama
My ever supportive sister
Unfortunately, I never had the opportunity to know my real father or see him personally. When I was a kid, I dreamed of having a complete family and hoped that someday, I would have one too. I really appreciate the sacrifices of my mom to us in providing our needs and giving us a good education.
With the help of my grandma, she introduced us to LCP. LCPFI (Little Children of the Philippines Foundation Incorporated) is a non-government organization that helps deserving children in their studies through sponsorship. Luckily, I was sponsored by a foster parent from Griffin, Georgia. And she supported my studies from sixth grade until college.
Family of my sponsor
Whenever I looked back on the hardships that I faced during my high school and college days, I felt proud of myself. Before, I used to walk from home to school amidst the heat of the sun or heavy rain. I even used to have a small baon, or allowance, and sometimes just enough money for school printing and Xerox purposes.
With these experiences, I realized how difficult it is to be raised in a poor family. After those realizations, I made a promise to myself that I would do my very best to finish my studies no matter what happened. I took BSED, or Bachelor of Elementary Education, in college. This is my childhood dream to become a teacher.
Fast forward…. After graduation, I applied at a private school and luckily got hired. Soongsil Agapia International High School gave me the chance to teach even without my license yet. However, I still don’t have the assurance to continue my teaching career. They told me to take the licensure exam and just to make sure that I need to pass it because if not, they will not rehire me. These phrases instill in my mind that I really need to do my best. After my class, I still need to travel to the house of my 2 tutees. My wage that time wasn’t even enough to compensate for our needs. That is why, even if it is quite tiring, I still need to have a tutorial just to support the studies of my stepsister.
The day has come to take the licensure exam. I was very nervous and had only a few days to review. My only motivation is my mom, and my strong faith in God. By God’s grace I passed the licensure examination. I had the opportunity to teach another 3 years in another private school. After that, I decided to apply to a public school.
The Lord is so good to me. On June 7, 2018, I was hired at a public school near our place. The school where I graduated from elementary school is my workplace now. Some of my teachers when I was in elementary school are even my coworkers now.
Last year, I was promoted from Teacher I to Teacher III. I never expect it to happen. God really answered my prayer. Thank you Lord!
How about my love story?
Well, I married my long-time boyfriend, my high school classmate, and have a beautiful daughter and cute son.
Dreams are just dreams if you don’t put effort into achieving them. Eventually, life will be full of trials; we just need to ride the waves of life’s challenges. I hope my life story inspires you to aim high and would have the courage to stand whenever you fall. Whatever your plans and dreams in life, keep believing and have faith. To those who are reading this, I pray that may your goals in life will come true.

Friendly tip - please don't use AI for your post creation or comments, and try to refrain from plagiarism, and your Hive journey will be trouble-free. At the moment here is a constant stream of newbies to ASEAN Hive onboarded by antonette, but a large part of them are trying to abuse the system and take shortcuts. Also, as in your case, hardly any of them are taking steps to provide proof of brain, so it makes my job as a curator difficult as I am currently unable to verify ownership of over half the accounts posting in ASEAN Hive each day.
Thank you for reminding me. Rest assured, I'll follow the community rules. Thank you.
