Amigos de hive, como pueden ver esta semana decidí tocar algunas piezas de guitarra. Todas ellas fueron parte de mis estudios en el conservatorio, y que he querido interpretarles con mucho agrado porque pienso crear algunos tutoriales de estudios de guitarra para los que estén con inquietudes para aprender a tocar desde los inicios, o para aquellos que quieran mejorar lo que ya saben. En la ciudad dónde vivo, llevo muchos años enseñando este instrumento, y este año me dieron el cargo de maestro en el área de guitarra para el sistema de Orquestas Juveniles e infantiles de Venezuela, en el Programa Alma Llanera, espero poder cumplir con esta meta de enseñar a algunos alumnos en hive.

Hive friends, as you can see this week I decided to play some guitar pieces. All of them were part of my studies at the conservatory, and I have wanted to interpret them with great pleasure because I plan to create some guitar study tutorials for those who are interested in learning to play from the beginning, or for those who want to improve what they they already know. In the city where I live, I have been teaching this instrument for many years, and this year I was given the position of teacher in the guitar area for the system of Youth and Children's Orchestras of Venezuela, in the Alma Llanera Program, I hope to meet this goal to teach some students on hive.

Compositor y guitarrista. Rodrigo Riera (Carora, Lara, Venezuela, 19 de septiembre de 1923 - Barquisimeto, Lara, Venezuela, 9 de agosto de 1999) fue un guitarrista y compositor venezolano de origen muy humilde y grandes méritos artísticos. Recuerdo una anécdota en la ciudad de Cumaná, hace muchos años. Me invitaron a dar un recital para un artista que nos visitaba y me pidieron tocar piezas de Riera porque a ese artista le gustaban sus obras. Luego de culminar mi recital, es gran artista se me acercó y me dijo que Rodrigo Riera fue su compañero de residencia cuando estudiaban en Francia, tuve el privilegio de tocar para el maestro de arte Cinético de renombre mundial, Jesús Soto, nunca olvidaré sus palabras, y la historia que quedó grabada en mi memoria, ellos cataban serenatas en el centro de París, para completar el pago de residencia. Espero les guste mi interpretación de "Nostalgia" una de las obras maestras de este insigne compositor venezolano.

Rodrigo Riera (Carora, Lara, Venezuela, September 19, 1923 - Barquisimeto, Lara, Venezuela, August 9, 1999) was a Venezuelan guitarist and composer of very humble origins and great artistic merits. I remember an anecdote in the city of Cumaná, many years ago. I was invited to give a recital for an artist who was visiting us and they asked me to play pieces by Riera because that artist liked his works. After finishing my recital, this great artist approached me and told me that Rodrigo Riera was his roommate when they studied in France, I had the privilege of playing for the world-renowned Kinetic art teacher, Jesús Soto, I will never forget his words , and the story that was engraved in my memory, they tasted serenades in the center of Paris, to complete the residence payment. I hope you like my interpretation of "Nostalgia" one of the masterpieces of this distinguished Venezuelan composer.
