Tríplice Coroa Praia da Costa.
Típlice Coroa é como eu gosto de chamar as a nossa “escolinha de slabs”, no post anterior citei apenas uma delas, e antes de continuar falando sobre a próxima, segue um mapa da tríplice.
Elas ficam em torno de 450m da praia, e uma distância entre si de mais ou menos 300m. Essas ondas possuem graus de periculosidade, tamanho, dificuldade e níveis de maré diferentes, o que permite você passar o dia todo pela região e surfar 3 ondas boas e distintas, além de serem em ilhas, o que também permite descanso, levar hidratação, guarda-sol e comida.
A segunda que quero apresentar pra vocês se chama “Rodrigues”. Vocês devem estar se perguntando, o que uma onda tem a ver com este nome?! De fato, nada! Mas a história é bem legal.

Quando os primeiros Bodyboarders daqui descobriram essas ondas, Anderson Pinto “Gordinho” (Treinador de ninguém menos que, Neymara Carvalho, Penta campeã mundial de Bodyboard), Sandro “Sandrera” (Hoje grande músico capixaba), entre outros. Começaram pelo Suicidal, isso no final da década de 80 e anos 90 para frente. E o pai do Sandrera, pescava sempre na ilha que fica de frente para a onda, e quando eles precisavam se referir a ela diziam: “Vamos lá surfar a onda do senhor Rodrigues?”, assim ficaram chamando-a, até outros bodyboarders aparecerem para surfar e se referirem da mesma forma.
Pois Bem, Rodrigues é uma onda que pode chegar a 8 pés de altura e permite manobras bizarras e muito altas, sua formação muito parecem duas ondas se encontrando, então você pode aproveitar essa rampa ou colocar para um tubo mais rápido, mas cuidado com a BRUXA! Hahahahhaha
Bruxa, é a parte mais rasa da onda, onde a pedra, dependendo da maré fica exposta às vezes. Veio da expressão “Vi a bruxa!”, que é como se fosse: “Tomei um susto muito grande” ou “Achei que ia me ferrar”, hahahahahah. Porém é a parte mais divertida da onda, onda proporciona os melhores tubo e as melhores manobras.

[EN] Triple Crown at Praia da Costa.
Triple Crown is what I like to call our "slab school". In the previous post, I mentioned just one of them, and before I talk about the next one, here's a map of the triple.
They're about 450m from the beach, with a distance of roughly 300m between them. These waves have different levels of danger, size, difficulty, and tide levels, allowing you to spend the whole day in the area surfing three good and distinct waves. Plus, they're on islands, which also allows for rest, bringing hydration, umbrellas, and food.
The second one I want to introduce to you is called "Rodrigues". You might be wondering, what does a wave have to do with this name?! Actually, nothing! But the story is pretty cool.

This is a frame from a very old video of mine, on a slightly bigger swell on this wave.
When the first Bodyboarders here discovered these waves, Anderson Pinto "Gordinho" (Coach of none other than Neymara Carvalho, five-time world Bodyboard champion), Sandro "Sandrera" (now a great musician from Espírito Santo), among others, started with Suicidal, this in the late 80s and 90s onwards. Sandrera's father used to fish on the island in front of the wave, and when they needed to refer to it, they would say: "Let's go surf Mr. Rodrigues' wave?", and that's how they started calling it until other bodyboarders came to surf and referred to it in the same way.
So, Rodrigues is a wave that can reach up to 8 feet high and allows for bizarre and very high maneuvers. Its formation looks like two waves meeting, so you can take advantage of this ramp or go for a faster tube, but watch out for the WITCH! Hahahahhaha
Witch is the shallowest part of the wave, where the rock, depending on the tide, is sometimes exposed. It came from the expression "I saw the witch!", which is like saying: "I got a huge scare" or "I thought I was screwed", hahahahahah. However, it's the most fun part of the wave, providing the best tubes and maneuvers.
