When you start to surf at the slabs, the first, and in my humble opinion, the most dangerous wave of this state, is called "suicidal." This name was given by the bodyboarders before my generation, and they said that the peak is like a "suicide drop" because it's incredibly shallow and doesn't have space for you to exit the wave if you don't complete the barrel.
The peak is located at Praia da Costa, 250 m from Sereia Island, which is the closest access point. The space to surf the wave is approximately 670 square meters, with a depth of less than one meter, so, in my opinion, it is a dangerous wave. Because there is very little space, shallow depth, and it's very easy to get seriously injured.
I carry some scars of memories from that wave, hahahaha! And I had some pictures of me surfing there, but I couldn't find them, what a pity!
I remember that during the holidays, that island was always crowded, with kids enjoying the waves, the island, and diving. I also remember bringing sandwiches, cookies, and water to spend the whole day there!

Quando você começa a surfar nas lajes, a primeira e, na minha humilde opinião, é a onda mais perigosa deste estado, é chamada de "suicidal". Esse nome foi dado pelos bodyboarders antes da minha geração, e eles diziam que o pico é como uma "queda suicida", porque é incrivelmente raso e não há espaço para sair da onda, se você não completar o tubo.
O pico fica localizado na Praia da Costa, a 250 m da Ilha da Sereia, onde é o acesso mais próximo. O espaço para surfar a onda é de aproximadamente 670 metros quadrados, com profundidade menor de um metro, por isso, na minha opinião se trata de uma onda perigosa. Pois é muito pouco espaço, pouca profundidade e muito fácil de se machucar gravemente.
Carrego algumas ciractrizes de lembranças dessa onda, hahahahahha! E tinha algumas imagens minha surfando lá, mas não consegui encontrá-las, uma pena!
Me lembro que nas férias, aquela ilha sempre ficava lotada, com o molecada curtindo as ondas, a ilha, mergulhos. Lembro também de levar sanduiches, biscoito e água pra ficar o dia todo por lá!
