Serenity - monomad - eng/esp

I knew this place some time ago. I walked along a street almost completely absorbed by the sea, in a place where several houses had already succumbed to the force of the waves. I crossed a collapsed bridge and sat down to enjoy for a moment the serenity of the low tide, the cloudy sky and the calm sea. When my lungs were filled with sea breeze, I took some pictures of the local fauna, a royal tern and a cormorant perched on old boat anchorages and farther away other birds occupied another set of pillars. That group in the distance was my excuse to perform a long exposure with my ND filter, the contrast of the rusty iron against the clarity of the clouds and the sea that this technique gave me, allowed me to summarize in a single image the serenity of that morning.

Conocí este lugar hace un tiempo ya. Caminé por una calle casi absorbida completamente por el mar, en un lugar donde ya varias casas sucumbieron a la fuerza de las olas. Crucé un puente derruido y me senté a disfrutar por un momento de la serenidad de la marea baja, el cielo nublado y la mar tranquila. Cuando mis pulmones se repletaron de brisa marina, hice algunas fotos a la fauna local, una royal tern y un cormorán se posaban en antiguos anclajes de botes y más a lo lejos otras aves ocupaban un conjunto más de pilares. Justo a aquél grupo a lo lejos me dediqué a capturar con mi filtro ND en una larga exposición, el contraste del hierro oxidado contra la claridad de las nubes y del mar que me brindaba esta técnica, me permitió resumir en una sola imagen la serenidad de aquella mañana.
