Hello lovely Hiveans !
Since Thursday we are in the hospital, waiting for the baby to finally arrive 👶 .. Unlike the first birth, where our son arrived just in time, we are having a huge delay by two weeks already. Approximately 60 % of babies are born in time, 35% in the following two weeks and only 5 % afterwards ⌛ .. If a baby is overdue for that long, it can get risky for many reasons. In that case the birth can get induced artificially with hormones and several other methods. This is exactly what the Doctors at our hospital decided to do and are trying since Thursday 🧑⚕️🏥
Before We Start ^^
As I already stated a few years ago, I won't show direct pictures of my family members, only from behind if I manage to get a nice one 😁 .. I only show myself and I don't make a exception, especially not in this case ^^ .. Thus, while the text will be about the topic, the pictures will be nice monochrome nature motives from the hospital backyard 😜
These will be from the one tree that I saw countless time during the last days and that I will show at the end of the post in more context 🌳 .. By the way, can anyone guess which kind of tree it is ? .. I really love how they appear in monochrome colour. They also have quite suiting symbolic meaning. Can you guess it too? In addition, as this post is to be a nice memory in the future, the overall black & white concept fits so nicely 😜
Why Don't You Come Out ?!
As I said, we are in the hospital since Thursday. For me, who needs to take care of our son in-between and to arrange my work next week accordingly, this is an huge organisation effort. But compared to my wife's situation, those are minor problems .. She does not like hospitals at all, is here for some days already and will need to stay for four more days after the birth. Together with the overdose of hormones and the constant pain, this creates a lot of stress .. Births are never easy, but she really wished for an easier one. Unfortunately, it can't be helped 😔 .. And all I can do to help, is to stay with her as much as I can, although I wish that I could do more !
The whole situation, including the relocation from Germany in January, the new home area, my new job in February, the new social contacts and so on .. this was all pretty much already, but we managed it really nicely so far. The birth, which runs not as smoothly as it could, kind of tops the whole restart project. When this is all over and a couple of months will have passed, this will be a big adventure for us to look back to 😜
Can't Be Helped, We Wait !
As we can't do anything about it, but to wait and hope that all the measurements by the doctors are fruitful in the end, we do our best to see it all optimistic and spend our time here together as much as possible. Behind the hospital is a nice backyard. There we are for a few hours each day and take some walks. This does not only help to start the birth, but as we are together and get some fresh air, this is a huge mental aid too.
In that backyard we can let our son run around free and have several benches to get short rests. The walkways have several altitudes and there are various sets of short stairways with different difficulties. Overall, this is a quite therapeutic backyard. As this area is a well-known ski resort and most patients are here due to broken legs and damaged joints, this makes a lot of sense. But for birth inducing walks this is perfect too 😁
I won't make another special birth post, as I won't be showing off my baby here. After all, I am not just a blogger who loves to document our family history, their special moments in-between and my nature-love 👨👩👦 🏞️ .. These are some days we definitely will remember very well and deserve an entry 😜
This Is For You Little Guy !
If you ever read this in a decade or so, this place here is where you gave us all a few worrying days and your mom some proper mental stress. Although you mommy tried her best to gave birth to you, you just made it yourself far too comfortable and ignored her .. probably like you do it nowadays when she talks to you 😜
And this happened all before you finally rewarded us with some sleepless months and well stuffed diapers 🤣
By the way, the motives are showing the Catkins of the the Goat Willow (Salix Caprea). They are found in Eastern Europe and have a traditional use on Palm Sunday, a Christian Holiday, that signifies the beginning of Holy Week .. I found this quite suiting 😜

Hehe, it was quite mean to spoiler this already several months ago to you 😜 .. now it's finally time ! .. and actually, there is already good news to tell .. a well up boy, 4300 g and 56 cm .. it's a real big one, so he spend the time well while letting us wait 😁 .. I am waiting for some sleepless months already ^^

I believe what I'm looking at in your monochrome photos are buds on pussy willow branches that are blessed and given instead of palms on Palm Sunday in Orthodox and Polish churches.🌿

Thank you very much 🤗 .. we were waiting for him for so long now, and the last week's even more impatient every day 🤣 .. now the family finally grow bigger as the little one finally came out, although they rather forced him to ^^ ..... You were right with your guess 🌳 As I am super familiar with polish culture I know them quite well. They symbolise the start of the holy week, and as it shows right now, it fits perfectly to one week in hospital for us 😁

Hehe, das Event war auch gut versteckt und nur sehr wenige haben die Signale richtig gedeutet 😜 .. Glücklicherweise ist der Kleine jetzt auch endlich da, wenn auch nicht freiwillig, hehe 😁 .. Ganze 4,3 Kg und 56 cm und damit ein richtiger Brocken 😱 .. Die nächsten Tage geniessn wir jetzt genauso, Aber mit einen mehr im Bund, hehe

Thank you ^^ .. it's really a lot of new starts, but we kind of like it that chaotic, as it kind of makes the time more enjoyable and memorable 😜 .. and this week in hospital is a highly welcome off-time from reality and a really nice family event for us all .. It's also beautiful too to watch the former little one excitingly becoming the big brother, hehe ...... what he actually is too right now 🥳 .. right now we are all very happy about the whole year 😁
