This is another entry for the daily #monomad challenge. As usual, I submitted some macro shots here.
This is the lychee giant stink bug nymph that I found in the bushes that grew thickly along the roadside in my village.
The bug doesn't have shields or wings, so the protrusions of the segments on its rough belly look quite detailed in such a way.
In entomology, it has the scientific name Tessaratoma papillosa, a species of bug belonging to the family Tessaratomidae.
Just like most stink bugs, it spreads a foul odor that stings the nose when it squirts liquid from its abdomen. But it only does it when its soul feels threatened. Luckily while I was taking pictures, it seemed this bug was in a good mood, so it didn't do that.
I love your pics, the bokeh in the background frames this stinkbug so well. I've never been a huge fan of these types of insects mostly because they like to walk on me for some reason hahaha but you got really lovely photos of this one!
Thanks for your compliment. Actually I am the same way, it smells really bad to the touch, and even after you wash it, the bad smell is still there 😁
Yup, I accidentally squashed one on a top of mine and it never really came out, I ended up throwing the clothing away lol.
Congratulations. Today's #monomad second place is yours.
Thank You very much for participating and for being part of the Black And White Community!
