This is a detail of a mountain house.
It is a particular type of construction called "stavolo" and is tièica in the Sauris area (North East of Italy), in Friuli Venezia Giulia.
The lower part is installed in brick while the upper part with wooden planks that cross in the corner.
The upper floors can be surrounded by long terraces, not very wide, decorated with wooden statues, masks, wheels, etc., all the typical elements of local culture.
