Following on from an earlier post here are some more images from a cement factory closed in 1930.
My entry for the #monomad challenge
It speaks to me of the transience of man and the power of nature. Since it closed it has been at the mercy of time and the elements. It has been made a forbidden zone to stop people entering as it is in danger of collapse.
I love the graffiti and the fact that art has been applied to the dereliction.
The architecture still shines through from an age when men worked long and hard in dangerous occupations with little safety.
It was important to me to capture these images before the whole thing comes crashing down and is lost forever.
It will be a historical legacy from the men who worked and died here.
I hope you enjoyed this journey to the past.
