This time I want to share stories about dance culture in Indonesia which is very unique and diverse. One of them is from Yogyakarta.
Yogyakarta is one of the provinces in Indonesia that still adheres to the culture of its ancestral heritage, including traditional dances, with various messages and stories contained in its traditional dances.
During my visit to the palace, I had the opportunity to capture one of the Golek Ayun-ayun dances performed by a female dancer for cultural documentation.
The Golek Ayun-Ayun dance depicts a woman from a teenager to a beautiful, dignified woman when she is an adult.
The movements are soft and graceful by playing with the shawl tied around the dancer's waist, with the movements of the hands, feet and head.
This dance is usually performed to welcome guests of honor.
Yogyakarta still maintains and maintains its traditional arts.
It is very beautiful. The postures you have in this dance have good angles for photography. The combination of cover and dress is beautiful.
