It continues to rain in Ibiza, and these photos for today's #monomad challenge show a little of what life is like here.
In this part of Playa d'en Bossa, every time it rains we are completely cut off, and the only way out is through the water.
It's exhausting, especially because the season has been very, very busy and now we're working double shifts because many of our colleagues are unable to get to work due to road closures.
Yesterday, a storm was forecast, but fortunately the clouds dissipated on their way to this island.
Today, we have clouds overhead again.

En Ibiza sigue lloviendo y estas fotos para el #monomad challenge de hoy, muestran algo de lo que se vive.
En este lugar de Playa d’en Bossa, ahora cada vez que llueve quedamos aislados por completo y la única manera de salir es atravesando el agua.
Es agotador, sobre todo porque la temporada ha sido muy pero muy pesada y ahora estamos haciendo doble turno porque hay muchos compañeros que no son capaces de llegar al trabajo por el corte de calles.
Ayer había una tormenta pronosticada y afortunadamente las nubes se disiparon de camino a esta isla.
Hoy ya tenemos nubes encima otra vez.
Yesterday, I managed to leave this space because the UME (Military Emergency Unit) didn't take too long and managed to remove the water that had accumulated in the street. I took advantage of the opportunity while I could. I went to the gym and to buy water, and I took these photos on the way.
Ayer logré salir de este espacio porque la UME (Unidad Militar de Emergencias) no se demoró tanto y alcanzó a sacar el agua acumulada en la calle. Aproveché mientras pude. Fui al gimnasio y a comprar agua, y tomé en el camino estas fotos.
I can't help but look at this from a geographer's perspective: the disaster risk management that can be done here is impressive. We are in an area of almost extreme vulnerability, where over the years the area could really be flooded if the height of the water table is combined with a rise in sea level and an increase in rainfall.
There was less material damage this time than a week ago because people had already been warned, but those of us who live at work can't take it anymore. Customers are becoming increasingly aggressive in their treatment of us, and unfortunately, we don't have any answers.
No puedo dejar de lado mi mirada de Geógrafa, la gestión de riesgo a desastres que puede hacerse por aquí es impresionante. Estamos en un área de vulnerabilidad casi extrema, en donde con el paso de los años realmente la zona podría quedar inundada si se conjuga la altura de las napas freáticas, con un aumento del nivel del mar y un incremento de las precipitaciones.
Hubo menos daños materiales que hace una semana esta vez, porque la gente ya estaba avisada, pero quienes vivimos en el trabajo no damos más, los clientes están cada vez más agresivos en su trato y lamentablemente no tenemos respuestas.

La agresividad de los clientes imagino se debe a los nervios y la impotencia por no poder disfrutar a pleno la temporada, es entendible, más no justificable. Que les sea leve como dicen ustedes, y espero que el clima logre pronto su equilibrio.
