I’ve been living right in the center of São Paulo—the heart of the concrete jungle and for about 15 years now.
In my daily life, whether I’m out skateboarding or riding the bus, it’s very common to see those tags and signatures known as Pixo on the buildings and houses around here. Some of these tags represent the names of friends' crews, while others convey messages addressed to specific people or serve as a protest against the system. In the past, it was common to see only guys doing this kind of tagging, but nowadays, it is also common to see pixo tags created by women.

A cerca de uns 15 anos eu moro bem no centro de SP no coração da Selva de pedra , e no meu cotidiano andando de skate ou de dentro de algum onibus e muito comum se ver por aqui nos predios , nas casas essas escritas e assinaturas que chamamos de Pixo .
Algumas dessas escritas representam o nome da crew de alguns amigos , outras levam algumas mensagens destinadas a algumas pessoas ou um protesto contra o sistema. Antigamente era comum ver somente os muleques fazendo essas escritas , mas hoje em dia e comun se ver escritas de pixo feito por mulheres tambem
