MonoMad Photography Challenge - Forget-Me-Not

in Black And White3 years ago (edited)

My entry into todays #monomad photography challenge is a 5x macro of a forget-me-not bud just starting to flower.

It's a focus stacked image created from 39 separate shots at F8, 1/3sec, ISO200, converted to black and white.

Oh my... those flowers are so tiny!!!

Oh yes. The single flower was no more than 5mm across.

Some of the first forget-me-nots in my back yard were showing earlier this week and I was pleased to capture this one, just as it was blooming, when the petal colours are purple, pink and blue.

Here's a partially edited colour version of the second image to show you.

Already blooming?
My mum has them in her garden. They are so adorable with those tiny blue blooms. But I think they bloom for her in early summer.

really nice photos...love them...seems to be really much work in it...and you notice that...keep it up!

Thanks, yes it can be a lot of work to create just one image but I enjoy it.
