[Bale of straw 1 month in advance] [8]

in Black And White3 years ago

Hello everyone, I haven't connected for a few months already, I didn't have a work email and I found a small niche to publish your images.

It may seem banal but I have always been fascinated by its round straw bale. Who swarms in the fields at the end of the harvests of wheat and barley.

It doesn't seem like it, but it's very heavy and sometimes there are accidents where people are crushed by these big cylinders of dry straw.

What is surprising is that the cereal harvest and also the other plants are more than a month ahead. This suggests that global warming has really taken hold here. It is less cold in winter and warmer in summer and especially earlier! ! !

I like to see these bales of straw placed in the fields. This boot shape disappears for another shape that is easier to store. Rectangular boots a little like lego rectangles. Even heavier than the round ones because more compacted straw. A little less dangerous because it does not drive but there are always accidents

Soon we will see the trucks that will go back and forth to transport this straw to the south of the country where there is not or too little straw for the animals.
This waste, if we can call it waste or rather the remains of a processed product, is now well valued. In ancient times, local residents made their roofs with straw. We called its THATCH roof the house was called a cottage.

Today we make straw houses like in the story of the three little pigs. The boxes are stacked on top of each other to make the walls and a roof is placed on top. The walls are then coated first
with clay and then lime. Its but houses are bioclimatic today and are very popular for the energy savings that can be made there

Straw is a highly valued resource today. The old ones already used it a lot but when the industrial air settled in it was scrapped just to be used as bedding for animals.

Thank you for looking at my photos and have a nice week everyone
