Hello community @ Today I present to you some photos taken during a professional journey between my workplace and 400 km further from the meeting places with a client. This first photo shows you an entrance door to a medieval fortified house from 1445 which is today more of an agricultural farm than an archaeological site. To the left of the door you can see a small round tower which is a so-called spiral staircase made entirely of stone. This allows you to climb over the large window. The site had strategic interest because it was located at the edge of the borders and served to defend against possible invaders hungry for gold and new lands.
When I saw this wrought iron gate supported by two massive dry stone pillars, I could only stop and take a few photos. What was surprising was the energy put into placing its two stone pillars to provide access to a field. The door being flooded I found the reflections of the grille in the water very interesting to take photos of.
Another view of this entrance shows that it doesn't overlook anything... Just agricultural land. Maybe in a moment of pride one of the former owners wanted to please by spending his money to show all his neighbors that he was richer than them hahaha. Or not...
Stove pipes!! Usually the smoke comes out through a chimney, but the owner of this house chose to drill a hole in the wall for the stovepipe.
I hope the week looks good for you, here after 15 days of cold and with a little snow the mildness has returned with of course rain. Two more months to wait before spring returns. The lack of light and especially the rain makes it difficult to take photos but it won't last, the sun will eventually return. See you soon !!!

Yes, it reminds me of a door that leads to a haunted house with lots of ghosts. To avoid at night hihihihi
