This morning I spent time in the rice fields of a village not too far from the downtown. The community here is about to enter the harvest season, though not all at the same time. Therefore, nets have begun to be installed over the farmers' rice plants to protect them from the sparrow pests that attack their crops.
Farmers here are using scarecrows, pest nets, and various other alternatives to ward off the sparrows. Screams, shoos, and the clatter of cans filled with rocks echo as the sparrows attempt to land on the farmers' rice. I spent an hour here observing and capturing moments with the farmers.
I tried to capture some images and make them as entries in this Monomad Challenge. Hopefully these images will get support from friends in the Black and White community.
In this Monomad Challenge contest, I want to invite my friends to see some of Black and White photos caught by my camera; "At the Rice Fields of a Village", the pictures presented to my friends in Black and white Community 😉

Your post reminded me of scenes from my childhood — simple moments that carry so much beauty. I really love how you captured the spirit of rural life. The choice of black and white adds a sense of nostalgia and authenticity. 👏🌾
