Many entrepreneurs without realizing it have created something that is very dangerous for our earth; plastic waste! Without thinking about the solution so that it doesn't become sustainable pollution.
Oh I'm sure they're fully aware of the consequences, it's just they make stupid amounts of money and nobody is going to stop that. Instead blame is placed on consumers when they have no alternatives. Hence the recycling argument rather than lobbying for better practices like not using plastic for mass production when it isn't necessary.
I agree with your opinion! @namiks I think recycling is a solution, rather than refusing the use of plastic amidst the increasing use of plastic packaging.
For example, in my city, 15 years ago we still used banana leaves as take away packaging, but now styrofoam has replaced banana leaf packaging, fewer people are growing bananas so the price of banana leaves is getting more expensive, people and traders are switching to more economical solutions; use plastic packaging finally!😅
