Street Photography, San Nicolás.

This is a theme that suits my style of photography better. I would say it's a combination of street photography and architecture, and here in Buenos Aires you can find places where you can implement a mixture of these, although “places” might not be the right word, as the city is full of them. However, it's not on a large scale, but rather in specific areas of the city, depending on the neighborhoods and districts.

The San Nicolás neighborhood is one of them, a place rich in architecture, history, narrow streets, and corners where you can find edges of light, use large structures for good backgrounds, and also for a main objective.

The Presidente ROCA school has always been one of my locations when I visit this neighborhood, because you can get very different shots on different days. You just have to imagine what scene you want that day, how you see this part of the city, and what time of day you are standing there waiting for a good shot.

Although I have usually been there in the early afternoon, I have never seen the sunset, and I think it would be really impressive to see what kind of light I would get and where those edges of light that interest me so much would be drawn.

I really like this theme because you can appreciate the contrast between the enormous and the tiny, between the giant columns of neoclassical architecture and the people passing around them.

A series of photos taken within a 200-meter radius between Tucumán and Libertad streets, on the corner of the Presidente ROCA school and the back of the Colón theater building, right in front of Lavalle Square.

I have a few more photos of this area that I will share with you in the future, and I think it will be interesting to mention something more about the architecture, details, and reliefs that can be seen. I also hope to take another tour of this area before returning to work and when my hand has completely healed. I have many ideas to work on and hope to do so soon :)
