Walking through the Recoleta neighborhood means visiting the cemetery, even more so when you like photography and art. To many people it may seem terrifying perhaps, but I have witnessed that the vast majority of people come for an artistic concept, for the emblematic mausoleums and sculptures, besides the fact that obviously there is a lot of history here and great characters of the Argentinean country are found here.
My visit was purely photographic, I have already visited this place many times but this time I wanted to try other results with my 50 mm lens, because in previous occasions I have photographed this place with different lenses.
Caminar por el barrio de Recoleta implica visitar el cementerio, más aún cuando te gusta la fotografía y el arte. A muchas personas les puede parecer terrorífico quizás, pero soy testigo de que la gran mayoría de personas viene por un concepto artístico, por los emblemáticos mausoleos y las esculturas, además de que obviamente acá hay mucha historia y grandes personajes del país argentino se encuentran aquí.
Mi visita fué netamente fotográfica, ya he visitado este lugar muchísimas veces pero en esta ocasión quería intentar otros resultados con mi lente 50 mm, porque en ocasiones anteriores he fotografiado este lugar con diferentes lentes.
I wanted to get other results, other angles and other depth with this equipment I had at the time, also to capture the gestures of the structures, to find a way to get a different view as for example the face of that person protruding from the frame, as if he was watching us or was looking away from us in a curious way.
Another aspect I had in mind was to get a good backlight, enough contrast and take advantage that the light these days is too intense, so I could allow me to get chiaroscuro, shadows and thus be able to play with the compositions.
Quería conseguir otros resultados, otros ángulos y otra profundidad con este equipo que tenía en ese momento, también captar los gestos de las estructuras, buscar la forma de obtener una visión diferente como por ejemplo la cara de esa persona que sobresale del marco, de tal forma como si nos estuviese observando o estuviese observando a otro lado de forma curiosa.
Otro aspecto que tenía en mente era conseguir un buen contraluz, bastante contraste y aprovechar que la luz de estos días es demasiado intensa, de forma que me podría permitir conseguir claroscuros, sombras y así poder jugar con las composiciones.
In this opportunity I am not going to mention aspects of architecture, years of foundation or anything like that, I have done it before in past posts. The fact is that every visit to this place never ceases to amaze me and I was not aware of how famous it really was. That day the place was full of lots and lots of tourists with organized guided tours, accompanied with translator employees who provided relevant information about each mausoleum, who were there and what they did for the Argentine homeland.
A side note, is that this is a place I have had in mind for a sensual gothic themed photo shoot, obviously I don't think they can grant a permit for it, so I will try to do it my way going unnoticed 😂 (when I get the model for it 😅)

En esta oportunidad no voy a mencionar aspectos de arquitectura, años de fundación ni nada por el estilo, ya lo he hecho antes en posts pasados. El hecho es que no deja de asombrar cada visita a este lugar y no tenía conocimiento de cuan famoso era en realidad. Ese día el lugar estaba lleno de muchísimos turistas con visitas guiadas organizadas, acompañados con empleados traductores que brindaban información relevante de cada mausoleo, quienes estaban allí y que hicieron a favor de la patria argentina.
Una acotación aparte, es que este es un lugar que he tenido en mente para una sesión fotográfica con temática gótica sensual, obviamente no creo que puedan otorgar un permiso para ello, así que intentaré hacerla a mi modo pasando desapercibido 😂 (cuando consiga la modelo para ello 😅)

Oh friend... You are a talented "space finder" I liked all the photos but the one of the hallways has a very special visual sense... I hope to see that "Sensual Gothic" photo session in those spaces of La Recoleta Cemetery, I also hope you don't end up in jail due to bringing semi-nude models to pose there in a public place considered sacred by some people... hahaha :))... But, whatever, I know it will be work Excellent what you will do for that project you have in mind!...

Si mal no recuerdo visite el cementerio solo en una ocasión pero es realmente sorprendente lo que hay, tanta historia y personajes memorables. Justo estoy comenzando con un proyecto de esculturas impresas en 3D, aunque son esculturas Griegas clásicas pero me trajiste a la memoria que debo retomar ese proyecto, seguramente voy a compartir algo por acá en Hive. Excelentes fotos y reafirmo que el blanco y negro las mejoran un monton.
