I can say that there is a combination that I always try to incorporate to my photos when taking street photography, it is about connecting the classic or ancient architecture and people as is the case of this first photo and although it is not so specific or detailed the style of the building, you can notice the two huge columns and a person walking, where I also wanted to try that person to be located in the middle of those two columns.
If I am not mistaken this is the building that houses the headquarters of the school president ROCA, neoclassical style and opened in 1903.
This is also a business area. There are many office buildings, the Colon Theater, the courts and it is normal and common to find people in suits crossing from one side to the other, entering or leaving their jobs. Here is a sample of this in the following two photographs.
Puedo decir que hay una combinación que siempre busco incorporar a mis fotos al momento de hacer fotografía de calle, se trata de conectar la arquitectura clásica o antigua y las personas como es el caso de esta primera foto y aunque no sea tan específico o detallado el estilo del edificio, puede notarse las dos enormes columnas y una persona caminando, en dónde quise además, intentar que esa persona esté ubicada en medio de esas dos columnas.
Si no me equivoco este es el edificio que alberga la sede de la escuela presidente ROCA, de estilo neoclásico e inaugurado en el año 1903.
Ésta es una zona además, empresarial. Se encuentran muchos edificios con oficinas, el teatro colon, los tribunales y es normal y habitual que se encuentre personas con trajes cruzando de un lado a otro, entrando o saliendo de sus trabajos. Acá una muestra de ello en las siguientes dos fotografías.
In the middle of all these gigantic and emblematic buildings is Lavalle square, surrounded by schools, high schools, tourists and residents who simply come to take a break, read a book, walk or just hang out. I took a couple of pictures where a man was walking on one side of the square and happened to be looking in the direction I was, I was far away by the way.
In the middle of this square is a girl with her phone quite focused on what she was doing while in the background is part of the entrance of the court building, although it is not very well appreciated but part of the vegetation of the square ... I think the fact that she has a black shirt made an interesting contrast with the other elements and white tones of the image.
En medio de todos estos gigantes y emblemáticos edificios se encuentra la plaza Lavalle, rodeado también de escuelas, secundarias, turistas y residentes que simplemente llegan a tomar un descanso, a leer un libro, a caminar o simplemente a pasar el rato. Tomé un par de fotos en dónde un señor caminaba por un costado de la plaza y casualmente miraba en dirección a dónde yo me encontraba, yo estaba lejos por cierto.
En medio de esta plaza se encuentra una chica con su teléfono bastante concentrada en lo que estaba haciendo mientras que en el fondo se encuentra parte de la entrada del edificio de los tribunales, aunque no se aprecia muy bien pero si parte de la vegetación de la plaza... creo que el hecho de que tenga una camisa negra hizo un contraste interesante con los otros elementos y tonos blancos de la imagen.
Well, cities always have their attractive and charming side but also their dark side, let's say it with that term, because this is one of the most beautiful squares in the area but also the most crowded by people who live in the streets and it is very normal to see them sleeping on the sidewalks, with awnings, many of them we can even see them in the middle of the square, sleeping on the grass .... It is very difficult to take pictures of this kind, at least for me, and although they may generate interesting compositions at a social level, I think you have to be very careful because most of them are under the influence of alcohol.
Today I dared to take a very quick shot and I was able to capture one of the many realities in the streets of the San Nicolas neighborhood.
On the other hand I leave in the last picture a similar image to the first one but this time there is a person walking in the opposite direction. I hope you liked this set of street photographs in this part of the city, being my entry for today's monomad challenge! Sending you guys a hug! Be well.
Bueno, las ciudades siempre tienen su lado atractivo y encantador pero también su lado oscuro, digámoslo con ese término, pues está es una de las plaza más lindas de la zona pero también la más concurrida por personas que viven en las calles y es muy normal verlos durmiendo en las aceras, con toldos, muchos de ellos hasta los podemos ver en medio de la plaza, durmiendo sobre el césped... Es muy complicado poder hacer fotos de este tipo al menos para mí, y aunque posiblemente generen interesantes composiciones a nivel social, creo que hay que tener mucho cuidado ya que la mayoría están bajo efectos del alcohol.
Hoy me atreví a hacer una toma muy rápida y pude lograr capturar una de las tantas realidades en las calles del barrio de San Nicolás.
Por otra parte les dejo en la última foto una imagen similar a la primera pero en esta ocasión se encuentra una persona caminando en dirección contraria. Espero que les haya gustado éste set de fotografías de calle en esta parte de la ciudad, siendo mi entrada para el reto monomad el día de hoy! Les mando un abrazo, chicos! Que estén muy bien.

Muy buena la intencion de la primera foto, amo ese tipo de columnas. Te recomiendo un instagram, tal vez ya lo conoces, pero es genial todo el material que sube se llama fotos.antiguas.ba y sube imagenes comparando el mismo lugar en el pasado y en el presente sumado que a veces habla del autor de la foto o del contexto realmente es una gran cuenta
