Good day dear Hive Community, first of all I would like to welcome you to my new post and wish you a good start to the new week! Today I would like to share something about a mythological topic and hope you like my post for the #monomad challenge.
In my new post you can see three different sculptures of Buddha, which I think are all special in their very own way and have been made of different materials. All of the sculptures look very authentic and Buddha means the enlightened one and is associated with enlightenment. Siddharta Gautama, who lived in the Himalayas about 2500 years ago, is considered the founder of Buddhism.
Siddharta Gautama was originally born in India and was known as a teacher who swam against the tide and turned away from everyday life early to concentrate almost exclusively on meditation. He grew up in a noble and wealthy family and turned away from his family at the age of 29 and began to travel a lot and began to inform himself a lot about religions.
He achieved enlightenment in his 35th year during a full moon night while meditating under a fig tree. Buddha figures are usually depicted in different poses and the best known is probably the sitting position that represents him typically during meditation. Often he is also depicted standing, lying or walking and almost always he can be seen with closed eyes, a smile and different hand gestures.
Many thanks for stopping by and watching! I captured these pictures with my Camera Sony Alpha 6000 plus 55-210 mm lens!
