Grandma was a very skilled embroiderer. Mom could sew although she didn't enjoy it. Both Mom and Grandma kept a lot of buttons. Mom still has plenty of buttons, some zippers, and a few of the silk threads Grandma used for her embroidery work.
As with many common things, they can be arranged to look photogenic. Or at least that's what I think.
