There's a world beyond the Manali-Leh Highway, and I realized this today when I looked at photos from my Goa trip this August on my laptop. The chance to visit Goa arose in August this year when I was invited to a running event there, and as usual, I couldn't refuse.
The rains hadn't stopped, and I stayed there for several days, even during the rain. We organized the event. Whenever the weather cleared, I got the chance to explore Goa and take photos of it.
It's surrounded by the ocean, abundant water, and numerous coconut trees. I visited the beach for the second time in my life, explored the canals, and saw boats parked in the rivers. I saw small hills and colorful birds. There's a black panther in the Netravali Wildlife Sanctuary, which we couldn't see.
On Polalam Beach in South Goa, I saw a father spending quality time with his daughter. I managed to take some great photos of them both. Since it's monsoon season, going into the sea is prohibited here, so we had as much fun as we could just standing on the shore.
The rest of the photos show the strong waves coming and going, and I wonder what message they're trying to convey.
This is my entry for #monomad challenge.
