Hidden within the Trans-Himalayan region are thousands of treasures known as landscapes. The Manali-Leh Highway, a highway of endless possibilities, offers challenge and adventure at every step. And it's a joy to take on these challenges. I've even summited some of the 6,000-meter peaks in this range.
I've been hiking, trekking, and mountaineering in the Indian Himalayas since 2007, but I can hardly get as close to the highest mountains as I can on this highway. Sit in a car and, after driving just 200 kilometers, you'll be so close to a 6,000-meter mountain that you can almost touch it.
All the photos in today's post were taken near the Tanglang La mountain pass. This pass is the last pass on the highway from Manali to Leh, and it's also the highest of the five mountain passes, reaching a height of 5319 meters.
This pass doesn't allow tourists to explore it, as upon descending, they encounter strong, cold winds. Furthermore, the oxygen level here is only about 60%. So, get out of the car, click photos within the next 10 minutes, get back in the car, and move on. If someone fails to do so, they are seen vomiting the next minute. This condition is called acute mountain sickness, which is very common at such high altitudes.
This is my entry for #monomad challenge.

Thank you for your kind words, have a nice day friend।
Thanks for sharing these with us! I'm not sure that I will ever get to 6000 metres above sea level so I'm happy to see photos from others!

I'm sure that when you take your first step toward 6,000 meters, you won't even realize when that first step will take you to the summit. Your words are true. Have a nice day!
