Yes, March was a long and slow month... I have the sensation of having walked the streets more times than the days March has had... Curiously, there were few foggy days and almost all the mornings had a strong and uncomfortable sunlight for the photographic work I do almost every day. But also these hot and sunny mornings have in favour the challenge of making the photos with those hard contrasts and complicated shadows typical of that kind of ambient luminosity... The streets behave differently when are like this and seem a bit more chaotic and less mysterious. I look at them and I feel everything more direct, more raw, as if everyday life were flowing more eloquently...
Sí, Marzo fue un mes largo y de lento pasar... Tengo la sensación de haber recorrido las calles más veces que los días que Marzo ha tuvo... Curiosamente, hubo pocos días con nieblas y casi todas las mañanas tuvieron una luz solar fuerte e incomoda para el trabajo fotográfico que hago casi a diario. Pero también estas mañanas calurosas y soleadas tienen a su favor el reto de hacer las fotos con esos contrastes duros y sombras complicadas propios de ese tipo de luminosidad ambiental... Las calles se comportan distinto cuando están así, parecen un poco más caóticas y menos misteriosas. Las miro y siento todo más directo, más crudo, como si la vida cotidiana fluyese de manera más elocuente...

I have said it before: "I could not understand my streets without dogs and cats".... A couple of decades ago we didn't have so many cats in the streets of the village, but with the passing of time they have become as abundant as dogs... So it's quite common that both species of pets are part of my photographic portfolio... Ah, yes... There are people too... hahaha :)) I'm joking, you are witnesses of my photos of people around me and how much I like to record their moments in an unnoticed way or by making them semi-surprising portraits...
Ya lo he dicho antes: "Yo no podría entender mis calles sin perros y sin gatos"... Hace un par de décadas atrás no teníamos tantos gatos en las calles del pueblo, pero con el pasar del tiempo han llegado a ser tan abundantes como los perros... Así que es muy común que ambas especies de mascotas forman parte de mi portafolio fotográfico... ¡Ah, sí!... ¡También hay personas!... hahaha :)) Estoy bromeando, ustedes son testigos de mis fotos a la gente alrededor de mi y de cuanto me gusta registrar sus momentos de manera inadvertida o haciéndoles retratos semi-sorpresivos...

I don't know what happened here (I'm talking about the streets of the village as well as my way of thinking) but the behaviour of dogs and cats lately seems to me to be very similar to that of humans. So, I reflect this in my photos and obviously in the titles I usually give them.... Don't you think? I think I once read that pets can end up resembling their masters, but it seems to me that our cats and stray dogs have taken this to another level...
No sé que pasó aquí (Hablo tanto de las calles del pueblo como de mi manera de pensar) pero el comportamiento de perros y gatos últimamente me está pareciendo muy similar a el de los humanos. Entonces, esto lo reflejo en mis fotos y obviamente en los títulos los cuales acostumbro darles... ¿No les parece?... Creo que una vez leí que las mascotas pueden terminar pareciéndose a sus amos, pero me parece que nuestros gatos y perros callejeros han llevado esto a otro nivel...

ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL NOTE: Photographs captured with my Nikon D7000 DSLR camera in RAW format, then processed in Adobe Camera RAW for adjustments regarding light, sharpening, contrast and depth... They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape 3.6.3.
NOTA TÉCNICA ADICIONAL: Fotografias capturadas con mi cámara DSLR Nikon D7000 en formato RAW, procesadas posteriormente en Adobe Camera RAW para ajustes relativos a luz, afilado, contraste y profundidad... Luego fueron exportadas a formato JGP sobre el cual se llevaron a cabo modificaciones menores como enderezado y agregado de marcas de agua usando PhotoScape 3.6.3.
