Hello monochrome #Hive friends!... I've been taking a tour through my recent archives. Every now and then it's good for me to do that and get a clear idea about the diversity and complexity of my photographic work done on the streets and roads of my village. So today's post contains the edited images resulting from my review today and -as is my custom- is my entry to today's #monomad challenge.
¡Hola amigos monocromáticos en #Hive!... He estado haciendo un recorrido por mis archivos recientes. De vez en cuando es bueno para mi hacer eso y tener una idea clara acerca de la diversidad y la complejidad de mi trabajo fotográfico realizado en las calles y caminos de mi pueblo. Así que esta publicación de hoy contiene las imágenes editadas resultantes de mi revisión de hoy y -como suele ser mi costumbre- es mi entrada al reto #monomad de hoy.

As you can see, this is a selection of photos of a very diverse character. It never ceases to amaze me how different the appearance of the village can be just by walking a few streets between photos. I have a friend who is the historical chronicler of our municipality and he often says: "Montalbán is made up of several tiny, distinct villages, linked by a handful of narrow streets"... Looking at my photos, it seems to me that this statement is very accurate and I can attest to this simply by looking at my daily photographs.
Como podrán ver, se trata de una selección de fotos de carácter muy diverso. Nunca deja de sorprenderme cuan distinto puede ser el aspecto del pueblo con solo caminar unas cuantas calles entre foto y foto. Tengo un amigo que es cronista histórico de nuestro municipio y él suele decir: "Montalbán son carios pueblos diminutos y distintos, unidos entre sí por un puñado de calles angostas"... Mirando mis fotos, me parece que esa afirmación es muy acertada y puedo dar fe de esto con el simple hecho de mirar mis fotografías cotidianas.

I spend about four hours preparing a post like this. It involves a scan of my hard drives, then I select a handful of RAW photographs and proceed to edit them one by one for their black and white versions. Some photos are easy to process, but most of the street scenes where people and a lot of elements appear, make me spend a lot of time processing and cropping. Also, it's a common thing for me to stare at the photos after editing and enjoy how they look on the screen. I like that, I enjoy it a lot and I find things that I didn't notice at first. But despite the effort invested in editing all this photographic material, the feeling of seeing it finished is highly satisfying.
Me toma unas cuatro horas preparar un post como este. Se trata de una exploración en mis discos duros, entonces selecciono un puñado de fotografías en formato RAW y procedo a editarlas una por una para sus versiones en blanco y negro. Algunas fotos son fáciles de procesar, pero la mayoría de las escenas callejeras en donde aparecen personas y un montón de elementos, me hacen invertir mucho tiempo procesando y recortando. Además, es algo muy común en mi quedarme mirando absorto las fotos después de editarlas y disfrutar como se ven en la pantalla. Me gusta eso, lo disfruto mucho y encuentro cosas las cuales en un primer momento no percibí. Pero a pesar del esfuerzo invertido en editar todo este material fotográfico, la sensación de ver esto terminado es altamente satisfactorio.

ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL NOTE: Photographs captured with my Nikon D7000 DSLR camera in RAW format, then processed in Adobe Camera RAW for adjustments regarding light, sharpening, contrast and depth... They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape 3.6.3.
NOTA TÉCNICA ADICIONAL: Fotografias capturadas con mi cámara DSLR Nikon D7000 en formato RAW, procesadas posteriormente en Adobe Camera RAW para ajustes relativos a luz, afilado, contraste y profundidad... Luego fueron exportadas a formato JGP sobre el cual se llevaron a cabo modificaciones menores como enderezado y agregado de marcas de agua usando PhotoScape 3.6.3.
