Siempre que hacemos un paseo ¨fotografico¨: voy caminando con nuestro dispositivo preparado para disparar al dar con algo que llama nuestra atención; en este caso ha sido un ¨reloj¨: de época; ubicado en un lugar muy significativo de la ciudad, muy cerca del imponente teatro que tenemos en el microcentro. Este antiguo reloj ha dejado de funcionar por muchos años, hasta pasar por una restauración que le devolvió la hora y su aspecto original.
Whenever we go on a photo walk, I keep our device ready to snap a picture the moment something catches our eye; in this case, it was a vintage clock located in a very significant spot in the city, right near the imposing theater in the downtown area. This old clock had stopped working for many years until it underwent a restoration that brought back both its timekeeping function and its original appearance.

Lo que más me gusta de caminar por las calles céntricas es al momento de detenernos para apreciar una hermosa construcción de ¨epoca¨: sobre todo cuando lo que más resaltan son sus aberturas y los bellos herrajes forzados a mano. Me encanta ver las grandes puertas creadas a mano con preciosos detalles que hacen únicas a las propiedades.
What I enjoy most about walking through the downtown streets is pausing to admire a beautiful building from a bygone era: especially when the standout features are the doorways and the beautiful hand-forged ironwork. I love seeing large, handcrafted doors with exquisite details that make these properties unique.

Si bien las aberturas que se utilizaban en la época eran preciosas y se destacan por ser construcciones hechas con maderas resistentes y de calidad de la zona, son los detalles creados en ¨hierros¨: forjados por las manos artesanas del hombre los que hacen que estas grandes aberturas resulten tan llamativas, y uno no pueda caminar por allí sin detenerse para apreciar su delicada belleza.
While the openings used during that era were magnificent—distinguished by their construction from durable, high-quality local timber—it is the details crafted in iron—forged by skilled artisan hands—that make these large openings so striking, ensuring that no one can walk by without pausing to admire their delicate beauty.

Siempre que caminamos por la ¨ribera¨: no puedo dejar de apreciar esta belleza ¨arquitectonica¨: construida por un arquitecto en el año 1940, aunque después tuvo que ser restaurada por haber sido ¨destrozada¨: por un fuerte temporal. Estas son las cosas que me gustan apreciar y fotografiar para participar del ¨concurso¨: con las cosas hermosas que tenemos en las calles de nuestra preciosa ciudad.
Whenever we walk along the riverfront, I cannot help but appreciate this architectural beauty—built by an architect in 1940, though it later required restoration after being destroyed by a severe storm. These are the things I love to appreciate and photograph to participate in the contest, showcasing the beautiful sights found on the streets of our lovely city.

One of the things I like most about your city is the fact that they restore whatever needs restoring so that everything looks its best, whether it’s to cater for tourists or for the city itself. That old clock was well worth it, and you know I love clocks. But I couldn’t help looking at the ironwork and thinking about the tremendous amount of work that goes into making high quality wooden doors with such intricate metalwork. The things they used to make are absolutely beautiful, so artistic. And of course, that gazebo is the star of black-and-white photos; it gives them a unique style, and I’m so glad they’ve restored it to look so beautiful.

Los gobernadores y los propietarios de estas viejas construcciones están haciendo un gran trabajo de restauración para preservar el patrimonio arquitectónico de la ciudad.
De las edificaciones de época me gustan mucho las aberturas y los herrajes construidos a mano; la mayoría tienen una calidad de manufactura hermosa.

Mirá, ese reloj de época que dejó de andar por años y después lo restauraron para devolverle la hora... ahí hay algo lindo, che. La foto en blanco y negro cerca del teatro del microcentro le da un peso distinto, como que el tiempo pesa más. Es así nomás, las cosas viejas cuando vuelven a funcionar cuentan otra historia.
