Ever since I was a child, I remember feeling unsettled by time, and as the years go by, that feeling persists. Everything goes by so quickly that when I look back at my past, it feels like just yesterday that I was watching TV without a care in the world.

However, we can't live on nostalgia; even if the present isn't ideal, we must make the most of it, because time is running out. It's easy to say and even cliché to hear “you only live once” (as if it wasn't obvious), but I understand the sentiment and in part, it’s true.

There are good moments and bad ones. Lately, not all of them have been great, but it's impossible to think that literally all of them are the worst, even though the mind plays tricks on you.

Photography is a constant record of the past, and there might be an opportunity to look at my work, laugh, and move on. And if not, at least my observation of the world will remain in one way or another.

ESPAÑOL

Desde pequeño recuerdo que el tiempo me inquieta, y conforme transcurren los años, el sentimiento persiste.

Todo pasa tan rápido que cuando vuelvo a ver mi pasado siento que fue ayer que apenas veía televisión sin preocupaciones.

Sin embargo, no se vive de añoranzas y más que el presente no sea el ideal, hay que aprovecharlo, porque cada vez es menos el tiempo que queda.

Se dice fácil y hasta es cliché la frase “solo se vive una vez” (como si no fuera evidente), pero entiendo la intención y en parte es cierto.

Hay momentos buenos y malos. Últimamente, no todos han sido los mejores, pero es imposible pensar que literalmente todos sean los peores, aunque la mente juegue contigo.

La fotografía es un registro constante del pasado y puede que haya una oportunidad para ver mi trabajo, reír y seguir. Y si no, al menos mi observación del mundo permanecerá de una u otra forma.
