There is really something unexplainably calm, peaceful and Zen about the fishermen villages.
Have you been to such ones?
I think the profession of a fisherman is blessed. I could tell than not only by the feeling time goes by there like in a completely separate dimension. Usually their structures by the shore (as I wouldn't call those buildings "houses") are built with cheap and second-hand materials but still they are overwhelming with artistic touch and it is almost like their souls helped them build and decorate it all.
Every village in every country has its own soul. Like every fisherman and every fishing boat.
Just find one, sit there for a while and wait, you'll feel it too...
These photos below are from three different fishermen villages in Bulgaria, at the country Southern shores of Black Sea.

Beautiful photographs and write up. That is exactly how I see the fishing villages. I have visited many over the years. Even quite old ones. Like in Malta or Spain. The charm you find there is unique. So many things to see… if you look.

It's gotta be one of the oldest professions there is. I like how life around fishing villages is just peaceful. They live according to the weather, and if the weather is not for fishing...well.. they just wait, no stress.
