This is my entry for the #monomad @monochromes challenge curated by today.
Good evening everyone, how are you, I hope you are having a good day and are doing well. In this light rain and sunshine, I went out for a walk, suddenly I saw some fungi on a piece of wood. Scientifically it is called Fungus. At that time, I was walking with my smartphone camera. I went to it and took some pictures of it which looked very beautiful. Sometimes beauty is hidden in the smallest forms of life.
This little fungus was growing silently on old wood — yet it captured my mind with its soft hairy structure and delicate beauty.
No matter how small it looks, its role in maintaining the balance of nature is huge — it breaks down dead matter and returns it to the earth as the material for new life.
