I live in Venezuela in a state that is considered "Andean" because we are literally in the Andes mountains. From where I live to the first páramo (high altitude moorland) I can find, it's approximately 2 hours away. So one day, I wanted to go for a drive to the páramo and take photographies along the way to document what I was seeing and share it with you.
I took hundreds of photographies that day, but for this post, I made a selection of photographies where people and pets are the protagonists.
I'll start by showing you this photography of a sign that indicated we were at 2,600 meters above sea level:
Vivo en venezuela en un estado que es considerado "andino" por que litealmente estamos en las montañas de los Andes y desde donde yo vivo hasta el primer paramo que puedo encontrar hay aproximadamente 2 horas de distancia asi que un dia quise salir de paseo al paramo y tomar fotos durante el camino para documentar lo que fuera viendo y compartirlo con ustedes.
Tomé cientos de fotos ese dia pero para esta publicacion hice una seleccion de fotografias en donde las personas y las mascotas son los protagonistas.
Empezaré por mostrarles esta foto de un cartel que indicaba que estabamos a 2600 metros sobre el nivel del mar:
The páramo road is huge and connects two cities in my country. But, in fact, I was going to a tourist spot with colonial style houses known as "Páramo Tourist stop the humming ". It has that name because the wind in that place is so strong that it seems to be humming..
La carretera del paramo es gigantesca y conecta dos ciudades de mi pais, pero de hecho, yo estaba yendo a un lugar turistico con casitas coloniales conocido como "Parador turistico paramo el zumbador" y tiene ese nombre porque le viento en ese lugar es tan fuerte que pareciera estar zumbando.
The place has stalls selling typical things, foods, and sweets, but when I arrived at the site, I was hungry, so I went to buy some grilled meat, which was prepared over charcoal by one of the local inhabitants:
El lugar tiene ventas de cosas, comidas y dulces tipicos, pero cuando llegué al sitio tenia hambre asi que fuí a comprar una carne asada, que era preparada al carbon por uno de los habitantes del lugar:
While I was there waiting for my food, some little dogs also came to ask for a bit of food. They were so adorable! I took a photography of each one, and obviously, I also shared my food with them.
Mientras estaba allí esperando mi comida tambien vinieron unos perritos a pedir un poco de comida, eran demasiado adorables, les tome una foto a cada uno obviamente tambien compartí mi comida con ellos.
After eating, I walked around the place a bit to photograph the different shops, but it started to rain, and I couldn't take as many photographies since the wind was very strong and blew water everywhere. I had to put away my camera.
Luego de comer caminé un poco por el lugar para fotografiar las distintas tiendas pero empezó a llover y no pude hacer tantas fotos ya que el viento era muy fuerte y lanzaba el agua por todos lados, tuve que guardar mi camara.
The way back home was full of spectacular natural landscapes, but as I told you in the introduction, the protagonists of this publication are people, so I'll show you a couple that I saw on the road, each with their own scene:
El camino de regreso a casa estuvo lleno de paisajes naturales espectaculares, pero como les dije en la introduccion, los progonistas de esta publicacion son las personas asi que les mostraré a un par que vi en el camino, cada una con su propia escena:
