A jumping spider and a damselfly - #monomad challenge

Today I did a lot of activities in my plantation, cleaning and cutting grass and planting corn seeds, but this is not the main topic in this post, the main topic is my success in finding a jumping spider that was preying on a needle dragonfly, it sounds quite impossible for a jumping spider with a size that is not too big.

But before that, the photos below are my entry for the #monomad challenge organized by @brumest and @monochromes

This is a jumping spider that is quite aggressive when looking for food, namely by jumping and pouncing on its prey. What is even more interesting is that this spider can catch prey with a body size that is larger than its own, and I have seen this incident myself.

On this occasion I managed to find a jumping spider that was pouncing on a dragonfly, the size of these two insects is not much different but this dragonfly was successfully conquered very well, in some of the pictures that I will share we can see that this jumping spider pounced on the head of the dragonfly.

It's incredibly brutal how these jumping spiders forage. On this occasion, I also managed to find a jumping spider laying eggs.

According to the information I know, female spiders have larger body sizes than male spiders, meaning it can be concluded that the jumping spider that was attacking the dragonfly was a male.

I'll be ending this post soon, and thank you so much for viewing and reading my post to the end. I hope this post has been entertaining for you all.

See you again next time🙏🏻
