Today I'm a little late with my post. I like to do it early in the morning whenever I can, but today I've been celebrating my birthday and it's only a few minutes ago that I've been able to sit down at the computer to select today's photos. All the images are recent, from my last outing in the city, and they include some portraits and scenes that are repeated on every corner of every neighborhood. I'll tell you about them along the way...
These snapshots 📸 are my submission for the #monomad challenge by @monochromes and @brumest.
I think I've pretty much overcome my stage fright when it comes to approaching people, although I've added a new strategy: "ambushing the victim." I see someone I like, wait for them where I think they're likely to pass by, and when they're close, bam! I take their picture.

This is one of the most photographed coffee shops in Havana. It's simple, but I think that's why it attracts so much attention.
This is one of the photos I most enjoyed taking: the girls playing and, at the window, the lady watching them. It was a very evocative scene!
Looking for different angles, changing perspective, improvising, and breaking out of the routine are things I am adding to my strategy; they are the first steps.

Hoy se me ha hecho un poco tarde para hacer la publicación. Me gusta hacerla siempre que puedo bien temprano por la mañana, pero hoy he estado de celebración por mi cumpleaños y apenas hace unos minutos he podido sentarme al ordenador para seleccionar las fotos de hoy. Todas las imágenes son recientes, de mi última salida por la ciudad, y en ellas hay algunos retratos y escenas que se repiten en cada esquina de cada barrio. Les cuento por el camino...
Creo que ya he superado bastante el miedo escénico de acercarme a las personas, aunque he añadido una nueva estrategia: la «emboscada a la víctima». Veo a alguien que me gusta, lo espero donde creo que es probable que pase y, cuando está cerca, ¡paff!, le hago la foto.

Este es uno de los sitios donde venden café más fotografiados de La Habana. Es sencillo, pero creo que esa es la razón por la que llama tanto la atención.
Esta es una de las fotos que más me gustó hacer: las niñas jugando y, en la ventana, la señora observándolas. ¡Fue una escena muy sugerente!
Buscar ángulos diferentes, cambiar la perspectiva, improvisar y salir de la rutina son cosas que estoy añadiendo a mi estrategia; son los primeros pasos.
