Today we're making a radical change to our photography theme: we're going bird watching! 🐦
If there's one thing that fascinates me, it's taking photos of them when they arrive in my backyard at the beginning of their migration, fresh from North America. But these aren't just any birds, they're already part of the family, because every year they faithfully return to this same place.
These snapshots 📸 are my submission for the #monomad challenge by @monochromes and @brumest.
How do I know? Well, first of all, because they are the same species, and although their plumage changes slightly each season, they look very similar. What's more, they behave in the same way and return to the same tree... and the same branch! It's incredible.
They arrived yesterday, and as soon as I saw them, I ran to get my camera, as I do every year. Then people tell me that photographing birds is boring... What are they thinking? It's super exciting! 😄
I realized they had returned because the hummingbird, which literally believes itself to be the owner of the territory, went crazy trying to chase them away. In the end, everything calms down and everyone settles into their place.
And why are they so loyal? Over time, I have been conditioning the yard to make it attractive to them, with food and water always available.
That's why this corner has become one of my favorite places to relax. I love sitting here in the afternoons, drinking tea under the cherry tree and watching them go about their routine... and, of course, taking pictures of them. 📸
They feed on insects found under leaves and fruits.
And there's my cat, watching them from a distance, under my watchful eye, of course.
And do birds also visit your gardens every year? Are they the same ones?

Hoy cambiamos radicalmente de propuesta fotográfica: ¡nos vamos con las aves! 🐦
Si hay algo que me fascina es hacerles fotos cuando llegan a mi patio al comienzo de la migración, recién llegadas desde Norteamérica. Pero no son aves cualquiera, estas ya son de la familia, porque cada año regresan fieles a este mismo lugar.
¿Cómo lo sé? Pues, primero, porque son de la misma especie y, aunque el plumaje cambia un poco cada temporada, se parecen muchísimo. Además, tienen el mismo comportamiento y vuelven al mismo árbol... ¡y a la misma rama! Es increíble.
Ayer mismo llegaron y, en cuanto las vi, salí corriendo por la cámara, como hago todos los años. Luego me dicen que fotografiar aves es aburrido... ¿En qué estarán pensando? ¡Si es superemocionante! 😄
Me di cuenta de que habían regresado porque el zunzún, que se cree literalmente el dueño del territorio, se volvió loco tratando de echarlas. Al final, todo se calma y cada uno se acomoda en su sitio.
¿Y por qué son tan fieles? Con el tiempo, he ido acondicionando el patio para que les resulte atractivo, con comida y agua siempre disponibles.
Por eso, este rincón se ha convertido en uno de mis espacios favoritos para relajarse. Me encanta sentarme por las tardes, tomarme un té bajo el cerezo y verlas en su rutina... y, por supuesto, hacerles fotos.
Se alimentan de loa insectos que hay debajo de las hojas y frutos.
Y ahí está mi gato, él también las observa a la distancia vigilado por mi por supuesto.

Hermosas fotos mi amigo que perfecto es el 70-300mm, estoy por vender un riñón para conseguir uno ajajajajja estoy en un mega ahorro ya hace un tiempo para hacerme de uno, felicitaciones por esas fotos me encantaron
Gracias mi amigo, me satisface mucho que te hayan gustado las fotos, este 300 me ha salido muy bueno, principalmente para fotografiar aves, en realidad me lo regaló un amigo que lo iba a botar porque tenía hongos, me lo dio y así lo estoy usando jajajaja, la verdad se ha portado de maravilla y sobre todo hace que disfrute de hacer fotos a las aves. Abrazos!!!
Ya están aquí hermano. tu no has hecho un Hide y un bebedero en tu patio? Yo en la azotea lo intenté y atraje un monton de cosas. Este año lo retomaré. saludos.

Ciertamente fotografiar aves debe ser todo menos aburrido. Incluso lo encuentro como una actividad desafiante, pues no cualquiera podría captar con un lente a estas hermosas aves. Suerte que tienes que te visitan cada año!
