In addition to nesting in the ground, mangrove tree roots are also their safest hiding place. Unfortunately, when I photographed this crab, it was not around the mangrove tree. It could be that this small crab got lost or deliberately made a nest that was a bit separate. I found the small crab walking alone, maybe it was busy eating small organisms in the muddy brackish water ecosystem.
Living between the ebb and flow of brackish river water, a mixture of salt water and fresh water, is the most comfortable ecosystem for this animal. With characteristics that are almost similar to large crabs that are commonly consumed by humans, this small mangrove tree crab also has a body that is similar to a large crab. It has many legs on the left and right, and has two claw legs as a tool for catching and chopping food. However, in this small crab, it only has two small claw legs which if we look at it briefly are almost non-functional. In fact, each leg of this small crab has its own use, because nothing is wasted from what God created.
