The markets and in particular the fruit markets are places that I like for capturing interesting photos, mainly for the colors, the shapes and textures of the products exhibited. It is also interesting to see the people who are looking for vegetables to buy.

Los mercados y en particular los mercados de frutas, son lugares que me gustan mucho para tomar fotografías, por los colores, las formas y texturas de los productos expuestos. Y la gente que se encuentra en el lugar observando y comprando los vegetales.
In the present post, I share a selection of photos in black and white taken at the main market in Antofagasta (Chile). Since all the images are monochromatic, all the colorfulness is lost, therefore we have to play with the shapes and textures in the composition of the images.
En la presente publicación les traigo hoy una selección de fotografías todas en blanco y negro tomadas en el mercado principal de Antofagasta. Al ser todas monocromáticas, claro está la vivacidad y contraste de los colores se pierde, por lo que se tienen los otros elementos que mencioné en el párrafo anterior para jugar con la composición de las imágenes, en especial las formas y las texturas.
The photos were captured with the camera of my cell phone a Samsung Galaxy S20. If we take a larger camera (a DSLR or mirrorless) to those places, it capture the attention of the people and many of them do not like, which makes more difficult to take photos in these spaces. Gimp was used for the edition.
Las fotos fueron tomadas con la cámara de mi celular un Samsung Galaxy S20, si se lleva en estos lugares una cámara profesional o semi-profesional, llama la atención de los personas y dificulta captar las imagines. El software usado para la edición fue Gimp.
