Tree branches in b&w — Ramas de árboles en byn

From the branches of the trees we can obtain interesting abstract photographs. This is the theme of the images that I publish in this post. The trees show few leaves, since they were photographed at the beginning of the dray season in Venezuela. During this season the trees lose their leaves in a similar way done in winter in the higher latitudes. The (almost) leafless trees allow us to play with the ramified shapes of the branches. Notice the parasite plants in the first two images, located at the base of one of these ramifications.
The last two images were obtained from the same photo, but processed in different ways.

Se pueden obtener fotos abstractas bastante interesantes usando las ramas de los árboles, este es precisamente el tema de las imágenes que hoy muestro. Los árboles tienen pocas hojas, porque fueron fotografiados al comienzo de la estación seca en Venezuela (ocurre algo parecido al invierno en las latitudes mayores), lo cual permite jugar con las formas ramificadas de sus cuerpos. Noten en las primeras imágenes que hay unas plantas parásitas, precisamente en la base de unas de las ramificaciones.
Las dos últimas imágenes están obtenidas de una misma foto, pero procesadas de manera diferente.

All the images were taken with the camera of a Samsung Galaxy S20 and edited in Gimp. The b&w versions were obtained from the originals in color using the tool known as “Mono Mixer”.

Todas las fotografías fueron tomadas con la cámara de un Samsung Galaxy S20 y editadas en Gimp. Las imágenes en blanco y negro se obtuvieron de sus versiones en color, mediante el uso de la herramienta conocida como “Mono Mixer”.
