I don't know how you bear the noise and it is weird seeing those big beasts flying really low. I'm nowhere near an airport although we are under a flight path but they are high when they pass and we occasionally see vapour trails if atmospheric conditions are right
You eventually get used to it, to one degree or another. My first three years in Louisville were spent living on the university campus, directly under the approach path to the airport. Grew up in a place where seeing a plane in the sky was a novelty, so the first time it was neat and then it was just infuriating for the next several years. Where I'm at now is the first place I've lived here that's not under the approach path, has been a pleasant break. Lived downtown for a few years and my apartment's window faced so that when you woke in the wee hours of the morning, it was not uncommon to be staring into the landing lights of a jet that's seemingly headed straight at you. Could be a bit disconcerting, especially if you'd had too much to drink.
Damn, that would just have started my hangover early
Pretty much
