Title: BW - River bandits
It is hard to miss these river bandits when strolling along the river. They are audible from several kilometers away due to their extreme loudness. And the greatest concentration of these birds is found on the raft on the river, adjacent to the big eateries, and close to the bridge. The black head indicates that most of these birds have transitioned from winter plumage to breeding plumage.
The numerous eateries and cafés in the vicinity make this stretch of the riverbank, spanning a few hundred meters, the perfect spot for them. They were drawn to this place over any other because of the abundance and variety of food available. Although there are smaller concentrations of gulls scattered across the shore, this is the biggest group.
There are almost no other birds in this location. A few coots and ducks may wander off before being chased away.
