The coastline near Cascais, Portugal, is geologically diverse and striking, shaped by tectonic activity and coastal erosion.
Dramatic cliffs and a system of sea caves, such as the Boca do Inferno, reflect the relentless power of the Atlantic. During winter storms, powerful waves crash against the shore, carving out openings and amplifying the roar of the sea within the caves.
