Hello Hive Community.
I hope you all are fine. I am also fine here. This is my entry for the #monomad challenge October 18th. Today I am making a post in the monomad community after 12 days. The main part of today's post is the birds that are flying freely in and around the lake, this scene looks golden and amazing in the evening. Which looks really beautiful when seen in black and white. The photographs of today's post are captured during a visit to Thol Abyaran. Thor is a favorite place for exotic birds who spend their maximum time traveling. I will introduce you to the freely roaming birds in today's post through photographs.
Thol Lake Bird Sanctuary is a land with a beautiful natural lake located near Ahmedabad in Mehsana district of Gujarat, India. This bird sanctuary is about 40 kilometers away from Ahmedabad city. It is one of the most famous bird-watching destinations in the state of Gujarat. This lake was originally built in 1912 as an irrigation reservoir during the rule of the Gaekwad dynasty. But over time it became a safe and peaceful home for hundreds of local and migratory birds.
As can be seen in the photograph above, Thol Lake is surrounded by calm water, trees and open sky. The sight of birds flying beautifully over the lake creates a magical scene. In the calm of evening, a soft mist covers the water and distant trees, making the scene like a picture of the serene beauty of nature. Every year, especially during winter, Thol Lake comes alive with the arrival of migratory birds.
As can be seen in the photograph above, an attempt has been made by my friend to catch the sun in his hand at dusk. It is only the illusion of who is in the camera that makes it seem like he is catching the sun in his hand. The entire atmosphere of this frame is of golden color which makes this scene amazing. While in the photograph above, one can see the invisible light disappearing behind the tree branch. This scene is also really beautiful.
The birds seen in the photograph above travel long distances from cold regions such as Siberia, Central Asia and Europe to escape the freezing temperatures. These birds find food, warmth and peace in the wetlands of the Thol. The shallow waters of the lake are rich in fish, insects and aquatic plants. Which provide a perfect feeding ground for the birds. More than 100 species of birds live in the Thol. The most common birds include ducks, coots, cormorants, herons, storks, egrets and flamingos. During the peak season, the most attractive visitors are the greater flamingos and pelicans. Which gather at this place in large numbers.
As can be seen in the photograph above, the lake also attracts many local birds throughout the year including kingfishers, herons and lapwings. They live among the reeds and bushes growing on the shores of the lake. Trees standing in the middle of the shallow water provide a place for birds to rest after a long flight. Thol Lake is not only a place for birds but also a peaceful retreat for nature lovers.
The tourists who come here are mainly bird watchers and photographers who visit this sanctuary to enjoy the beauty of wildlife in its purest form. Early morning and evening are the best times to visit. When the golden light touches the lake and hundreds of birds take flight together, filling the sky with movement and beauty. The photographs above capture this feeling perfectly.
The image of a tree standing in the water under a soft grey sky, as seen in the photograph above, shows the serene power of nature. I believe that Thol Lake Bird Sanctuary is also a place of learning. It teaches us about the importance of protecting wetlands, which are home to many living creatures. The clean water, greenery and safe environment make it a true paradise for birds.
I am very happy to make today's post because I have presented other then my favorite topic street photography. i hope that my post will be accepted for the #monomad challenge October 18th.
