The Cuban cigar
The well-known Cuban cigar or Habano is produced mainly in the province of Pinar del Río, although it is also grown in other areas of the country, where the ideal conditions are found for the plants to develop the highest quality. This is why the most important brands such as Cohiba, Romeo y Julieta and others are produced with the leaves harvested in this place in the west of the island.
El puro cubano
El muy conocido puro cubano o Habano , se produce mayoritariamente en la provincia de Pinar del Río , aunque en otras zonas del país también se siembra es allí donde se dan las condiciones idóneas para que se desarrollen las plantas con mayor calidad, por lo que las marcas más importantes como cohiba, Romeo y Julieta y otras se producen con la hoja recogida en este lugar al oeste de la isla.

Flavor and aroma

Las marcas se diferencian en vitolas , que varían en tamaño y proporción desde los puros más pequeños y delgados hasta los más largos y anchos
Así también varían en su sabor y aroma, algunos son suaves y afrutados mientras que otros pueden ser de un sabor fuerte y ligeramente amargo, depende de los procesos que le realice el productor a la hoja, y del lugar de la planta donde se tome , mientras más se pega a la raíz el sabor es más intenso y amargo
Although I know that smoking damages health and that it is a problem in different societies, here in Cuba tobacco is something cultural, that it comes from the time when the island was inhabited by the aborigines even before the arrival of the Spaniards to America.
And as a photographer I like very much the portraits with cigars I think they have a special poetics, here are some that I have made to certain friends who enjoy smoking their Habanos from time to time!
Aunque sé que fumar daña la salud y que es un problema en las diferentes sociedades, aquí en Cuba el tabaco es algo cultural se puede decir , ya que viene desde el tiempo que la isla estaba
habitada por los aborígenes, incluso antes de la llegada de los Españoles a AméricaY a mí como fotografo me gustan mucho los retratos con los puros creo que tienen una poética especial, a continuación los dejo con algunos que le he hecho a ciertos amiguetes que disfrutan de vez en vez fumarse sus Habanos!
