Hey! Hope you’re doing great — let’s start with today's entry for the #monomad challenge
A lot of the photos we take end up stored without much thought, little fragments of life that slowly fall into that junk drawer where days, places, people and emotions get mixed together. Today I pulled out a handful of them, around twelve in total, taken at different times, in moments I can’t even place on a calendar anymore, yet they still hold something special. I’m not going to explain each one because I feel they’d lose part of their magic if I tried to put them into words. I prefer to leave them as they are, small echoes from the past that resurface without warning and create a quiet portrait of who I was in those fleeting instants.
Each photo carries its own weight, its own colour, its own silent story. Some were fun, some simply beautiful, others strange or unintentionally artistic. Together they form this little mosaic of moments that might have been small, but the camera chose to save anyway. And I love the idea that, even if I’ve forgotten some of the details, the image remains there, a discreet witness of something that happened and that, in a way, still belongs to me.
A veces me doy cuenta de la cantidad de fotos que hacemos sin pensar demasiado, pequeños fragmentos de vida que quedan guardados en el móvil y que, con el tiempo, pasan a formar parte de ese cajón desastre donde se mezclan días, lugares, personas y emociones. Hoy he rescatado algunas de ellas, unas doce en total, tomadas en momentos distintos, en fechas que quizá ni recuerdo exactamente, pero que siguen teniendo algo especial. No voy a entrar en detalle sobre cada una porque creo que perderían parte de su magia si tratara de explicarlas. Me gusta más la idea de dejarlas tal cual, como ese eco del pasado que vuelve a aparecer de forma espontánea y que, sin pretenderlo, construye un pequeño retrato de quién era en ese instante.
Cada foto tiene su propio peso, su propio color, su propia historia silenciosa. Algunas fueron divertidas, otras simplemente bonitas, otras extrañas o artísticas sin quererlo. Todas forman este pequeño mosaico de momentos que quizá fueron mínimos, pero que la cámara decidió guardar. Y me encanta pensar que, aunque yo haya olvidado algunos detalles, la imagen sigue allí, testigo discreto de algo que pasó y que, de alguna manera, aún me pertenece.
I like to think that each photo carried its own intention, even if I wasn’t aware of it when I took it. Some hold a funny detail, others a beautiful corner or a light that makes them special. Together they create a small emotional map that doesn’t need any explanations, because everyone will see something different in them. And that, in the end, is what I enjoy the most about sharing them: letting each person find their own story within mine.
Me gusta pensar que cada foto tiene una intención propia, aunque yo no fuese consciente en el momento de hacerla. Algunas tienen un toque divertido, otras un detalle bonito o una luz que las hace especiales. Juntas forman un pequeño mapa emocional que no necesita explicación, porque cada persona verá algo distinto en ellas. Y eso es, al final, lo que más me gusta de compartirlas: dejar que cada uno encuentre su propia historia dentro de las mías.
