| In Valencia, in the Valencian Community, we are well known for our traditional rice dishes, such as the famous paella, whose original recipe comes from my city, Valencia. It’s no wonder we’re so famous for our rice-based cuisine. You just need to travel south of Valencia, around the Albufera, and see the endless kilometers of rice fields. | En Valencia, en la Comunidad Valenciana, somos bien conocidos por nuestras comidas tÃpicas con arroz, como la famosÃsima paella, que todos conoceréis, y cuya receta original proviene de mi ciudad, Valencia. No es raro que seamos tan famosos por nuestros platos hechos con arroz. Solo hace falta venir al sur de Valencia, alrededor de la Albufera, y contemplar los kilómetros y kilómetros de campos de arroz. |

| What makes these photos special is that I took them at a time of the year when the rice had already been harvested, so the landscape looks very different. Indeed, the scenery completely changes depending on the season. In this case, during summer, if you visit the rice fields you’ll find a muddy landscape that, although not as beautiful as when it’s full of water or green plants, still has its own charm. | La particularidad de estas fotos que estoy colgando tiene que ver con el hecho de que fui en una época del año en la que los campos de arroz ya habÃan sido recolectados, con lo cual el paisaje es muy diferente. Asà es, el paisaje cambia completamente dependiendo de la época del año en la que vayas. En esta ocasión, en verano, si visitas los campos de arroz te encuentras con un paisaje lleno de barro que, aunque no es tan bonito como cuando está cubierto de agua o de verde, también tiene su encanto particular. |
