Today I want to show you a personal selection of photos I took while walking around the beach area of La Patacona, in Valencia. It’s quite interesting what you can find when exploring this area from the silos or the old abandoned factory nearby. There’s going to be an architectural contest to decide how to give this structure a new life while preserving its fascinating shape —a place I always love photographing when I walk past it. Es bastante interesante lo que te puedes encontrar cuando exploras esta zona desde estos silos o fábrica abandonada, del cual van a hacer un concurso de arquitectura para ver qué uso se le puede dar y mantener esta estructura tan interesante que me encanta siempre fotografiar cuando paso por al lado.

Es bastante interesante lo que te puedes encontrar cuando exploras esta zona desde estos silos o fábrica abandonada, del cual van a hacer un concurso de arquitectura para ver qué uso se le puede dar y mantener esta estructura tan interesante que me encanta siempre fotografiar cuando paso por al lado.

The building was once a winery that operated until 2008. One day I’ll make a full post just about it, with more photos. There were plans to demolish it and build residential blocks, but the real estate crisis halted the project —thankfully saving the building. Now, there’s a plan to protect and restore it, giving it a new purpose. I truly hope it gets the special use it deserves so everyone can enjoy this unique piece of architecture.	El edificio son unas antiguas bodegas que estuvieron en funcionamiento hasta el año 2008. Algún día haré un post exclusivo para este edificio, con más fotos. Tenían planeado su demolición para construir edificios residenciales, pero la crisis inmobiliaria acabó con este proyecto, gracias a Dios, salvando el edificio. Ahora hay un plan para la recuperación y protección del edificio y su puesta en valor. Ojalá pronto le den un uso especial y se pueda disfrutar de este edificio tan singular.

El edificio son unas antiguas bodegas que estuvieron en funcionamiento hasta el año 2008. Algún día haré un post exclusivo para este edificio, con más fotos. Tenían planeado su demolición para construir edificios residenciales, pero la crisis inmobiliaria acabó con este proyecto, gracias a Dios, salvando el edificio. The Free Books Club —that’s the name of this charming bookshop. There are no shelves here, just piles of books stacked into teetering towers. A labyrinth of stories I adore wandering through every time I pass by.	El Club de los Libros Libres dice esta librería con tanto encanto. Sin estantería, sino que los libros se amontonan en columnas a punto de caer. Un laberinto de libros que me apasiona. Me encanta siempre perderme dentro cuando paso por aquí.

Of course, I had to make a stop to eat at one of the many cozy restaurants in my beautiful neighborhood of El Cabañal, in Valencia. Each one has its own charm and a unique touch in its design.	Como no, una parada para comer en cualquier restaurante de mi bello barrio del Cabañal, en Valencia. Restaurantes con encanto y con un diseño particular, siempre, de cada uno.

Walking through the neighborhood and along the beach, you stumble upon houses and buildings as extravagant as this one —the Blasco Ibáñez House Museum.	Andando por el barrio, por la playa, te encuentras con casas y con edificios tan extravagantes como esta.La Casa Museo de Blasco Ibáñez.

Back home. Here’s one of the windows of my apartment. Even though I live in the city, looking through these windows makes me feel as if I were in a cabin deep in the woods —and I love that feeling.	Vuelta en casa Aquí os dejo una foto de una de las ventanas de mi casa Aunque vivo en la ciudad, cuando miro estas ventanas me da la sensación de que estoy en una cabaña en medio del bosque Y me encanta

Finally, I wanted to show you this shot I took of the City of Arts and Sciences. I often photograph it from this same spot. When I go to the gym —on the top floor of the Aqua shopping center— I can take beautiful open-air shots like this one, with the City of Arts and Sciences and the roundabout right in front.	Por último, quería enseñaros esta foto que tomé del Museo de la Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias. Lo fotografío mucho desde este punto. Cuando voy al gimnasio, en el centro comercial del ACWA, en la última planta, al estar de aire libre, se pueden hacer fotos tan bonitas como esta, de la Ciudad de las Ciencias, y la rotonda que hay delante.
