My entry this time is about shopping at Chatuchak Weekend Market in Bangkok, Thailand. In November 2019, just before the pandemic, my wife and I traveled to Bangkok to meet our daughter, who lives in Toronto. She flew to Bangkok with her colleagues from work for a 1-week international cosmetics exhibition. We all stayed in the same hotel with an upgraded room. The only time we could get together was during breakfast and at night before going to bed.
While she was busy with the exhibition from morning to night, my wife and I explored the city of Bangkok. Here are some photos we took while visiting the clothing section of one of the biggest weekend markets in Bangkok, Chatuchak market.

The tiredness must have been from the heat and the end of our shopping spree. When you shop in a non-air-conditioned market in any South East Asia city, it will always be hot, humid, and crowded with people. It takes a lot of energy just to maneuver your way thru the crowds especially carrying your wife's shopping bags.🤣
Yes, I know that and of course it is one of the things that is very common in the markets in Southeast Asia.
Love Bangkok's big market they have everything though we always stays in Pattaya.
Pattaya is nice. Stayed there for 8 months back in 2006 for a long-term project. Thanks for stopping by.😀
Hopefully we all can go back. I see it's getting busy again. My husband used to have a bar in Pattaya and lived there for 6 years.
Ahhh... that's cool! Pattaya was always busy, bustling, and a favorite tourist destination. This pandemic has caused many businesses to close down and killed tourism. Bali has also suffered a similar fate but slowly recovering.
How about the price of the goods? Is it cheap compared to malls? Or do they offer discounts? I am really curious hehe
Much cheaper than malls for sure. Lots of haggling.😊

Yes, it was 3 years ago when we traveled to Thailand to meet our daughter. The last time we met her was in 2016, so it was a good opportunity to meet her again in 2019 and at the same time had our holiday.
My daughter lives in Toronto, Canada. She works in a cosmetic company in Canada, and went to Thailand for 1-week only, to attend an international cosmetic exhibition. She is planning to come to Indonesia to visit us later this year.
Hahaha... I also want to work there but am already too old.😀
