Most of the time I focus on the waves not the people. I admire photographers who do street candids but it's not comfortable and possibly not even safe for me so I get what I can where I can.

@rossfletcher The important thing is to do something that makes us feel good and enjoy the process.
If we take pictures of the waves and it gives us the peace of mind that other kinds of images don't give us, I think it's okay to take them.
