Hello to the Hive!
I've neglected #monomad again for a while but I love Black and White photography as anyone who follows me will be aware so thought I'd post this is an entry to the Monomad Challenge by @Monochromes.
These are the new crop of little pirates here in the Tanon Strait. Boy do they start them young. They're not the dangerous sort though, more the fun loving laughing pirate type. Giggling pirates.I must say I am very jealous of their amazing playground. What freedom to have!
The Tanon Strait is a channel of water separating the Islands of Cebu and Negros in the Central Visayas , Philippines. These photos were taken from the Cebu side looking over towards Negros. At this point its approx 19km across to the other coast. We get stunning sunsets here as the sun goes down behind the mountains on the Negros side. It's kind of scenic at anytime of day though.
I have no idea where these little guys acquire their little sea going vessels but it really isn't unusual here to see little kids paddling themselves about in the sea in little outrigger bangka style boats. No life jackets no adults no problem!
The guys above are even towing those behind. Friendly pirates indeed it would seem.
The quality of images now in the Black and White Community and the #monomad challenge is going up and up and i really enjoy seeing the range of excellent B&W images in here.keep em coming!
